Selecting the
Upload File
button transfers the update file to the E-Streamer and initiates the
installation process. When the upload is complete, the top of the page will display:
Selecting the
Reboot
button will produce a dialogue box to confirm the reboot operation.
The Streamer Engine will go offline for approximately two minutes while shutting down and
rebooting. During this time, the web browser will report that the server is unavailable.
Firmware Updates using USB
Alternatively, you can also update the E-Streamer firmware using a USB mass storage device.
•
Copy the update file into the root directory of a USB mass storage device.

Plug the mass storage device into any USB port on the rear of the Streamer Engine
•
From the
USB
menu on the LCD panel

Pressing the

returns the LCD panel to the Streamer Engine Main Menu.

select the
RESTORE
button and confirm the restore process
when prompted.
The Streamer Engine will then go offline for approximately two minutes while shutting down and
rebooting. During this time, the web browser will report that the server is unavailable.
System Restart
Software Reset
Selecting the Software Reset button terminates and restarts the E-Streamer software and the Web
Interface, a process that takes about 10 - 20 seconds.
Note that a software reset will terminate all Recording and Playback activities.
Hardware Reboot
A hardware reboot must be performed after each software upgrade or network IP change. A reboot is
the equivalent to shutting down and re-starting the E-Streamer.

The Streamer Engine will go offline for approximately two minutes while shutting down and
rebooting.
Note that rebooting terminates all Recording and Playback activities.
