The natural air is forced through a fan unit at the outside unit.

As it passes through the evaporator, the coolant collects the heat in the natural air.

The compressor sucks in and compresses the coolant, raising the temperature.

The heat produced by the compressor is transferred to the condenser that is in the heater cylinder,

thus heating the water.

The coolant expands as it passes the expansion valve, then it is ready again to pick up energy from the

ambient air in the evaporator.
