13.1 General notes
13.1.1 Repair concept
Under the Hauser repair concept, devices have a modular design and repairs can
be carried out by Hauser Service or by properly trained customers.
Spare parts are grouped into logical kits with the associated replacement instructions.

13.1.2 Repairs to Ex- or SIL-certified devices

Incorrect repair can affect electrical safety!

Only specialist personnel or Hauser Service can carry out repairs to Ex certified
devices.
‣
Observe the relevant standards and national regulations as well as Safety Instructions
(XA) and certificates.
‣
Only use original Hauser spare parts.
‣
When ordering the spare part, pay attention to the device designation on the
nameplate. Only replace parts with identical parts.
‣
Carry out repairs according to the instructions. Following a repair, the individual testing
specified for the device must be performed.
‣
A certified device may only be converted into another certified version by Endress
+Hauser Service.
‣
All repairs and modifications must be documented.
13.2 Spare parts
• Some replaceable device components are identified by a spare part nameplate. This
contains information about the spare part.
• All the spare parts for the measuring device, along with the order code, are listed in the
Device Viewer
) and can be ordered. If available, users
can also download the associated Installation Instructions.
Device serial number:
• Located on the device and spare part nameplate.
• Can be read out via the device software.
13.3 Replacement

CAUTION
Data upload/download is not permitted if the device is used for safety-related
applications.

After an entire device or an electronics module has been replaced, the parameters can
be downloaded to the device again via the communication interface. For this, the data
must have been uploaded to the PC beforehand using the "FieldCare/DeviceCare"
software.
