The FST is shown in Figure 11-6. In this FST:
•
Registers R1, R2, and R5 are automatically initialized to 0 when the FST is loaded into the
device.
•
Steps 0 – 2: Increment the counter (R5) by 1 and store the result in RR.
•
Step 3: Write the contents of RR to history point 9. Because R1 contains a floating-point
value, automatic rollover handling is applied.
•
Step 4: Write a timestamp to history point 10, using the format
month-day, hour:minute
.
Because R2 contains a floating-point value, automatic rollover handling is applied.
•
Step 5: Wait 300 seconds (five minutes).
•
Step 6: Complete the FST, delay 100 milliseconds, then restart at Step 0.

Example 2 – Stopping an FST after task completion
In this example, the FST Run Flag is set to 0 after a task has been completed. This stops FST
execution.
The FST is shown in Figure 11-7. In this FST:
•
Step 10: Load 0 to RR.
•
Step 11: Write the contents of RR to the FST Run Flag.
•
Step 12: Complete the FST. The FST will not restart.
