I/O Configuration and Wiring

Alternatively, you can use loop power as shown in

Figure 3-2

. In the figure, AIDIPI_08 is

shown connected to an external current source.

The current source is powered by the 24V loop supply which can power up to 8 field
devices (4-20mA or 1-5V). To create the correct ground reference, connect the 24V loop
GND (pin 20) externally to ISOGND (in this case pin 10).

The FB3000’s mixed I/O modules includes two dedicated analog output channels, with
the following characteristics:
