ERT-A2 ALERT2 Configuration Manual

First install the SIM card and configure the cell modem. To install the SIM card, the cell modem
must be removed to access the SIM holder underneath the unit. To do this remove the two Philips
screws that are through the holes in the cell modem bracket and loosen the two screws that are in
the keyway side of the bracket. One of the screws will have a cable restraint clip, also remove this.
See diagram below.

Carefully turn the cell modem over and you will see an access hatch and two small screws that
secure it. Remove these two screws and insert the SIM card into the holder. Replace the SIM card
hatch and screws, followed by the four screws that hold the cell modem onto the ERTA2 door plate.

Now you can configure the APN of the cellular modem. Connect a computer using an ethernet cable
to one of the RJ45 ports on the cellular modem. Use the diagnostic menu option to power the
modem and wait for approximately 2 minutes for modem to boot.

Go to the Network configuration menu, then select Mobile item to enter the APN:

Next select the Services menu, then click on Connect Radio Module, tick enable box and enter 9600,
no parity, 8 data bits, 1 stop bit items. See menu below:
