Replacing chains
The chain is equipped with a chain joint that makes the chain easy to dismantle.
Dismantling
Follow this procedure:
• Remove the spring clip (C).
• The chain can now be taken apart by removing the side
plate with pin (A) and the side plate (B).
Assembly
• Replace with the same type of chain (xxx)
• Bring the ends together and connect with the chain joint.
This comprises a side plate with pin (A), a side plate (B) and the spring clip (C).
• Secure the side plate with pin (A) to the ends of the chain, place the other side plate (B) on
this and press on the chain joint (A+B).
• Place the spring clip on top; the closed end of the spring clip must point in the chain’s
rotational direction.
• Secure the spring clip in the grooves of the pin by sliding the spring in the direction of the
X arrow.
• Set the chain. See above
• Close all protective covers.
