7.2 Operative areas
Here are the operative areas found on the main screen and their functions.
The screen can be basically divided into 4 main parts:
1.
Upper left quadrant:
information about measurement and measurement taking
Find out in detail:
•
If the rapid movement of the axes has been disactivated through the axes lock keys, which can inhibit
the rapid movement of one or both axes in a determined position disabling the pneumatic unlock, but
allowing them to move through micrometric movement. By pressing the button you can lock or
unlock the axis.
•
The dimension measured for the X and Z axes according to the colours of the corresponding display
•
RED indicates that the zero axis has not been acquired yet and the dimensions given are
accidental.
•
WHITE indicates that the zero axis has been scanned and the dimension given is of a
memorized machine origin.
•
YELLOW indicates that the zero axes has been acquired, but we are carrying out a
measure in an incremental way, thus it is referred to as a manually set zero.
•
GREEN indicates that the zero axis has been scanned, that a machine origin is active and
so is the autocollimation mode, thus the given dimension is the real measure of the tool in
any part of the screen you are visualising it (only if this is in the correct focusing position).
•
ORANGE indicates that the zero axis have been scanned, a machine origin is active and so
is the autocollimation mode, thus the given dimension has been “frozen” in the maximum
tangency point acquired.
•
If the given dimension value for every single axis is ABSOLUTE, thus referred to as a determined
origin, or INCREMENTAL, thus referred to as a zero chosen as our reference point.
(absolute/incremental commutation procedures and manual setting of the axis procedures follow)
•
If the given dimension value for the X axis refers to the RADIUS or the DIAMETER of the tool we
are measuring. This mode can be set as default at start and can be changed every time you select a
machine origin (it takes the value from the origin itself) or by pushing the Radius/diameter
commutation button ( radius/diameter commutation procedure follows).
•
If the active measure unit is Millimeters (3 decimal) or inches (5 decimal). This function can be set as
default at start and can be changed every time you select a machine origin (it takes the value from the
origin itself, see chapter XX).
