Operator’s Manual City Ranger 3070

3.4 Coolant

Recommended coolants

The following two coolants can be used:

• Preferred: Perkins Extended Life Coolant (ELC).

• Acceptable: a commercial heavy-duty coolant

that meets “ASTM D6210” specifications.

Attention

Always switch the engine off before

topping-up with coolant.

Attention

The coolant line is under pressure.

Never remove the cap when the motor

is hot as hot water can escape and

cause serious burns. Wait for at least

ten minutes after the motor has been

switched off and then slowly remove

the coolant tank cap.

Checking the coolant level

1. The coolant tank is located over the engine fan.

(Picture 1)

2. An engine coolant alarm appears if the coolant

level is too low. (See section 1.17)

3. To adjust the level, unscrew the coolant tank

cap and fill up the coolant tank. (Picture 2)
