3.7 Cooler
Attention
Removing the cooler cap
Never remove the cap when the
engine is hot, as hot water can
escape and cause serious burns.
Wait for at least ten minutes after the
engine has been switched off and
then remove the cooler cap.
Check the coolant daily
1. Open right side screen.
2. Check coolant level through sight glass
in expansion tank.(Picture 2)
Attention
Always switch the engine off before
topping-up with coolant!
Topping-up the coolant
1. Remove the cooler cap and fill the cooler and
tank until approx. ¾ full. Max. capacity approx.
4.2 litres
2. The coolant should consist of 50% pure water
and 50% polyethylene glycol, or as prescribed by
the manufacturer.
3. Carefully remount the cooler cap.
4. Start the City Ranger 2260 and run the
machine until it is sufficiently warm.
5. Switch the engine off and add more coolant.

Important – when filling coolant
1. After repair

2. After the expansion tank has been empty
check the bleed valve on the water pump to
ensure there is no air in the cooling system.
