Backing up and restoring the E300

You can back up and restore in the following ways:
•
Use the Command WorkStation backup and restore features under
Server
to back up the E300 settings.
•
Use the Configure backup and restore features under
Fiery Server
to back up and restore the E300 settings.
For detailed information about how to use Command WorkStation to back up and restore settings, see

Recommendations to preserve data
To preserve your data, we recommend the following:
•
Do not turn off the system while accessing the hard disk.
•
Back up your original data on your own media when you store and save data on the E300 hard disk.
•
Never reset the E300 hard disk.
•
Never do anything that might damage the E300 hard disk.
If the E300 hard disk or system software has any technical difficulties, data stored and saved on the E300 hard disk
may be irretrievably lost. If problems with the hard disk occur, we cannot assure extended storage of the following
data:
•
Third-party fonts
•
Print jobs
•
Color profiles, including profiles downloaded or edited using Spot-On
•
Job notes and instructions
•
Scanned image data
