Replacing parts
Power supply
This section describes how to remove and replace the power supply. For more information about the power supply, see
To remove the power supply

Shut down the E-45, remove all cables from the back, and then open the system (see
).
To remove the power supply, you must remove the left and right panels.

Remove the 24-pin power cable from connector J18 on the motherboard.

Remove the 8-pin power cable from connector PWRCONN1 on the motherboard.

Remove the SATA power cables from the hard disk drives.

Detach the SATA power cable from the power connector of the dual cable for the DVD drive.

Detach the 8-pin power cable from the connector from the Fiery QuickTouch.

Remove any tie-wraps securing the power cables to the chassis.

Place the E-45 in the upright position.

While squeezing the power supply unit, remove the inside screw with washer.
Caution:
Do not open the power supply for service or troubleshooting purposes. Opening the power supply will void
the warranty.
