Continuous drainage
The self-evaporation system uses the collected water to cool the condenser coils for better efficiency.
There is no need to empty the drain tank in cooling mode, except in dry operation in high humidity
conditions. The condensed water evaporates in the condenser and is drained through the exhaust hose.
In case of continuous operation or unattended operation in drying mode, connect the drain hose
(supplied) to the machine. Condensed water can run off by itself into a water container (e.g. buckets) or it
can be discharged by gravity, e.g. to a sewage outlet.
Continuous drainage:
•
Turn off the unit before preparing for continuous
drainage.
•
Remove the drain plug and store it in a safe place.
•
Connect the hose to the condensate drain firmly and correctly
and make sure that it is not kinked or blocked.
•
Place the hose outlet over a drain or bucket, and make sure that
water can drain freely from the machine.
•
Do not immerse the end of the hose in water. Failure to do so
may result in a blockage in the drain hose.
To avoid water spills:
•
Since the vacuum in the condensate drain pan is high, point the drain hose down towards the
floor. The drain hose should have a slope of more than 20° for the correct operation of the
condensate drain.
•
Straighten the hose, avoid kinks and blockages in the hose.
6. CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
6.1. Cleaning the air filter
It is recommended to clean the air filter every two weeks.
Dust on the filter restricts air flow into the device. Restricted airflow reduces system performance and, if
blocked, can damage the device. The air filter requires regular cleaning. The air filter is removable and easy
to clean. Do not operate the device without the air filter installed as this may contaminate the evaporator.
1.
Press the POWER button to turn off the device and disconnect the power cord.
2.
Remove the filter from the device.
3.
Use a vacuum cleaner to remove dust from the filter.
4.
Invert the filter and rinse it under running water. Let the water flow through the filter in the
opposite direction to the airflow. Set the filter aside and allow it to air dry completely before
reinstalling.
