Chapter 12: Test Menu
Sirens and Sounders
This option allows you to test all the warning devices connected to the control unit. For
most options, you can choose to operate all warning devices assigned to a specific
partition, or all warning devices of the type selected.
Press
to turn the device on. Press
to turn the device off. The display shows On
when the device should be operating and Off when the device should be silent.
Ext. Radio Sirens
This option presents a list of the learned-in radio sirens. Select a siren for testing by
pressing
or
. Note that both siren and strobe should operate.
Wired Sirens
This option allows you to operate all outputs of type Siren and Strobe.
On-board Loudspeaker
You can use this option to test the built-in loudspeaker in the control unit. The loudspeaker
is used, for example, to play back recorded memos.
On-board Sounder
You can use this option to test the built-in sounder in the control unit. The sounder is used,
for example, for setting, unsetting and alarm tones.
Internal Sounders
Tests any internal radio sounders (SDR-RINT) that the control unit has learned.
On-board Keypad
Use this menu option to test the keypad at the control unit.
When you start the test, the LEDs around the navigation should all glow red. Every time
you press a navigation key, the LEDs change colour. Press all the keys one by one. The
display should show you the key you pressed.
To test the HUA keys, press them both at the same time.
Note:
An HUA alarm is not
generated.
Press
to leave the test.
Radio Keypads
This option allows you to test the keys on i-rk01 radio keypads, as follows:
a) Press the A, B, C, D and Unset keys one after the other (wait two to three seconds
between each press to allow the keypad to transmit each message). The transmit LED
should flash for each key press. The display at the control unit should show the
appropriate letters.
