7.1 Ethernet connection
7.1.1 Specifications
A shielded Ethernet modular crimp connector should be used with a UL certified, stranded and shielded CAT6
Ethernet cable.
7.1.2 Wiring
The Green Motion Building EV charger can be connected to a router, a switch or to an energy meter through ethernet.
Follow the steps below to connect an RJ45 cable to the Green Motion Building EV charger.
Step 1 .
Open the Green Motion Building EV charger. See Section 10.1.
Step 2 .
Locate the two ethernet ports on the lower edge of the Control unit. The ethernet port LAN 1GBs is the
rightmost ethernet port. See Figure 19: Ethernet port location.
Step 3 .
Connect the RJ45 cable to the port.
7. Network connections
It is possible to create a network of Green Motion Building EV chargers and include an energy meter and connection to
an online CPO software. The network can be either via ethernet or wireless.
