Note:

If the

M3 Internet Upgrade

button is disabled (grayed out), then there is no upgrade file

available. Select the

Cancel

button to close the

Backup/Upgrade

menu, then select the

Cancel

button to close the

M3 Setup

menu

Select the

M3 Internet Upgrade

button.

An alert will remind you that upgrading does not affect your custom information, and ask if you
want to continue. Select the

Yes

button to continue.

9.

An alert will ask if you want to download the upgrade file from the Internet. Select the

Yes

button to continue. Please be patient - it may take several minutes to download the upgrade file.

Once the upgrade file has been completely downloaded, the touch screen will go dark and your
device will begin the software upgrade process. This will automatically restart your device at
least once.

Note:

If the firmware in your M3 device is updated during the upgrade, your M3 device may

restart a second time. You will see progress bars and status alerts during this process.

Note:

Do not touch the power button during the software upgrade process. Do not disconnect

the power cord, the Ethernet cord or any file sharing devices during the upgrade or restart
processes.

10. After a few minutes, your device software will restart and the touch screen calibration utility will

open with this message: “Touch the calibration target to start the 4 point calibration.” To calibrate
your M3 device touch screen, complete this step:

10a. With your usual touching device (stylus, finger), touch the center of the target. A new

target will appear in a different location on the touch screen.

10b. Select the center of the target and maintain your selection for a brief time, until the target

message changes to “Release the calibration target.” At that point, release your selection.

10c. Repeat step 10b for all of the targets that are displayed at different locations on the touch

screen. When you release your selection of the last target, there will be a brief pause.
