4c. If the Allow User to Name Recordings check box is selected on the Advanced Settings tab
in the Interface Features menu, the system keyboard will open. Enter a name for the new
recording and then select the OK button. Otherwise, continue with step 4d.
4d. The custom recording process will differ, depending on your selection method:
z
Touch Enter - Select and hold the Record button and speak your message. When
you are finished, release the Record button.
z
Touch Exit - Select the Start button and speak your message. When you are
finished, select the Stop button.
z
Scanning - Activate the Record button and speak your message. When you are
finished, activate the Record button again to stop recording.
z
Mouse Pause - Move the mouse pointer onto the Record button and speak your
message. When you are finished, move the mouse pointer off of the Record button.
4e. If the Display Recording Feedback Window check box on the Advanced Settings tab in
the Interface Features menu is selected, the recording feedback menu will open. Continue
with this step. Otherwise, proceed to step 4f.

If you want to accept your message as it is, select the Save button.
z
If you want to listen to your message before deciding whether to save it or record
over it, select the
Playback button.
z
If you want to record your message again, select the Record Again button and
repeat step 4d.
4f. Select your new recording in the viewport of the Play Sound... menu. (You may have to
set the drop-down menu below the viewport to Mine to see your personal recordings in
the viewport.)
4g. Select the OK button to close the Play Sound... menu.
5. To add a new audio cue (or replace the existing one), select the Record Audio Cue button. The
Play Sound... menu will open. If you want to select an existing recording, continue with step 5a.
If you want to create a new recording, continue with step 5b.
5a. To choose an existing recording, scroll through the viewport and highlight the recording
that you want to use. (You can also search for a recording. If you want to search for an
exact match, including capitalization, spaces and file extension, select the
Exact Match
check box. Then select the Search text box, enter the name of the recording into the
