TESTING PACKS
6.3 THE TEST CYCLE
6.3.1 THE EVACUATION PHASE
1)
Pressing the
START TEST
button will initiate the test cycle. NOTE: you may be required to enter
your Username and Password to initiate a test cycle.
2)
If the test cycle is started inadvertently, pressing the
ABORT TEST
button will terminate the test.
In this case, no test data will be generated or saved.
3)
The system will check the Drawer is closed, if it is not, an error message will be displayed

4)
The system will check there is sufficient air supply pressure, if there is not, an error message will
be displayed

5)
The sensor mechanisms will be activated. These bring the sensing components into contact with
the pack.
6)
Do not attempt to open the drawer during the test cycle.
7)
The vacuum pump will start (EVACUATION PHASE) and the vacuum indicator will display the
vacuum level as it increases (See fig 6.4).
8)
As the vacuum increase the Pack indicators will start to show an increase in the force being
generated (where this occurs).
9)
If excessive force is generated a sensor over

range error can occur, in which case the test will be
aborted
