Tether straps are required in Canada. Using
this child restraint without the tether strap
anchored as recommended by the
manufacturer would be a misuse of the child
restraint and in a sudden stop or crash could
cause serious injury or death.
Place child restraint flush
against the back of the
vehicle seat forward-
facing in the back seat.
Thread vehicle belt through
the forward-facing belt
path. Buckle.

This child restraint can be
used in 2 positions: upright
and reclined (see “Reclining
the Child restraint”
section).
The recline position is
to be used only to
install the child
restraint flush against
the back of the vehicle
seat back, if needed.

With one hand at belt
path, push and pull the
child restraint from side
to side, forward and
back. If vehicle belt does
not loosen, the child
restraint should be
secure.
If vehicle belt loosens,
repeat all steps. Check
seat belt use in your
vehicle owner’s manual
and review the “Locking
Clip Installation” section
or call DJG Consumer
Relations for help.
