If you were using

the UAS belt for a rear
facing installation, it must
be removed from the rear
facing belt path before you
begin (see “Rear-Facing
Child Restraint Installation
with UAS Belt” section).

Do not use the vehicle

seat belt when using the
universal anchorage system
(UAS).

• 

Check vehicle owner’s

manual for seat belt use
with a child restraint.

UAS Belt

Place child restraint flush
against the back of the
vehicle seat forward-
facing 
in the back seat.
Fasten one UAS hook
on each anchor
bracket/bar located on
each side of the child
restraint. See your
vehicle owner’s manual
for locations.

Place one knee in the
child restraint and push
down while pulling on
the loose end of UAS
belt to tighten.

This child restraint can
be used in 2 positions:
upright and reclined (see
“Reclining the Child
restraint” section).
The recline position
is to be used only to
install the child
restraint flush against
the back of the
vehicle seat back, if
needed.

!

Do not fasten both UAS hooks on the same

UAS anchor bracket/bar in the vehicle.
Do not use UAS belt with the vehicle seat

belt.

the forward-facing belt
path, pulling the hook
across the back of shell
and out the other side.
