Rear-Facing Child Restraint
Installation with Vehicle Seat Belt:
WARNING
!
Fasten the UAS belt hooks on side of shell
when not in use. A loose UAS system
could cause injury or death.
Never place a child in front of an active
frontal airbag in the rear-facing position.
Death or serious injury can occur.
For vehicles with an air bag, but without a
back seat, refer to your vehicle owner’s
manual.
Note:
Fasten tether hook to recline stand’s
tether hook storage anchor.

Check vehicle owner’s manual for seat belt use
with a child restraint.
•
Do not use universal anchorage system (UAS)
when using the vehicle seat belt.

2.3-14 kg (5-30 lbs.),
48-81 cm (19-32 in.)
Vehicles manufactured today already have the tether
anchor hardware installed in the vehicle. Refer to your
owner’s manual for locations. For older vehicles contact
your dealer or the manufacturer for locations and
hardware installation.
Adjusting the Tether Strap
Fasten child restraint
tether hook to tether
anchor in vehicle.
Tighten tether strap by
pulling on loose end of
tether strap.
Loosen tether strap by
lifting up on tether
adjuster.
Storing tether strap:
When tether is not in use,
fasten tether hook to
recline stand’s tether hook
storage anchor as shown.

A loose tether strap and tether hook can
result in serious injuries.
