A monitored reversing edge (Type B2) should be installed as entrapment protection for the closing cycle of the gate.

Typical Reversing Edge mounted on

bottom of gate when necessary.

If the bottom of gate is greater than 6” but less than
16” above the ground

at any point in its arc of

travel

, it is recommended mounting

a reversing edge for safety.
