Enter the other party’s phone number.
p You can make a video-phone call also by vocalizing and retrieving a Phonebook entry stored in the
Voice Dial List. (See page 137)

Start talking when the other party answers.
p “ ” or “ ” will blink at the upper right of the display during video-phone dialing and light steadily during the call.
p To make a voice call, press or .

Just after purchase, Hands-free is automatically activated during a video-phone call as “Hands-free w/ V.phone” has been set to
“ON”. (See page 99) However, Hands-free is deactivated during Manner Mode regardless of “Hands-free w/ V.phone”.

p When the Flat-plug Earphone/Microphone Set with Switch (option) is connected, you can hear the other party’s voice from the
earphone. (See page 379)
p If you close the FOMA phone during a call, the FOMA phone works in accordance with the setting of “Setting when folded”. (See

p During a video-phone call, you can press to send the substitute image to the other party. To resume sending the image
through your camera, press again.
p You can press numeric keys to send touch-tone signals during a call. However, you need to switch to DTMF Transmission Mode
for a Chara-den call. (See page 99)
