“Custom” user profile
This section is rather technical and recommended for advanced readers only.
To allow for full flexibility, there are 9 different “user privilege” parameters that can be set in any
combination of your choice in order to create your own unique User Type.
Privilege
Description
Factory Reset
If set, this allow the user to perform a “Factory Reset” from the menu of the
instrument.
Scan Settings
If set, this allow the user to change the “Scan Settings” from the menu of the
instrument.
Add Substance
If set, this allow the user to perform “Add Substance” scans, which stores the result
in the Local Database reference library so that it may be used as a reference for
future “identify” and “Verify” scans.
Time & Date
If set, this allow the user to adjust the Date and Time settings on the Instrument.
Change Language
If set, this allow the user to change the Language for the Instrument’s menus.
USB CONF Read
If set, this allow the user to activate USB CONF (read access only). This means that
DMT will be able to view
(but not edit or delete
) Local Databases, Factory
Databases, User overview, Instrument Log file and System Information.
USB CONF Read/Write
If set, this allow the user to activate USB CONF (both read & write access). This
means that DMT will also be able to edit Local Databases, create/edit Users and
load firmware upgrade files to the Instrument.
USB DATA Read
If set, this allow the user to activate USB DATA (read access only). This means that
DMT will be able to view
(but not edit or delete
) Measurement Files, Instrument
Log file and System Information.
USB DATA Read/Write
If set, this allow the user to activate USB DATA (both read & write access). This
means that DMT will also be able to delete unsuccessful Measurement Files for
housekeeping purpose.
