Explanation of T.38 and Pass-through
T.38
is an
ITU
recommendation for allowing transmission of
fax
over
IP networks
in real time.
Under the T.38 mode, analog fax signal is converted into digital signal and fax signal tone is
restored according to the signal of peer device. Under the T.38 mode, fax traffic is carried in
T.38 packages.
