EMERGENCY DESCENT SYSTEM
Operation:
1. Telescope in
To retract the telescope open the emergency descent valve
13 for the telescope and operate the hand
pump 14 at the side of the turning device (the handle is inside the main centre cover)
When the telescope movement is completely retracted close the emergency descent valve.
2.
Lowering of the boom
It is possible to lower the platform using the
emergency descent valve
12 on the lifting
cylinder.
Carefully push down the emergency descent valve
12 and observe the platform during the lowering.
Beware of the boom!
Note! The platform levelling does not operate
while the emergency descent system is in use.
3.
You can turn the boom by removing the worm
gear cover and mounting the crank on the gear
shaft.
If the emergency descent system cannot be used, try to warn other personnel present on the site so that
they can resume the normal operation of the lift by supplying the required voltage, for example, with
the power unit.
Use of the emergency descent system may make the safety devices for platform levelling trip.
See page 22 for starting the lift after the safety devices for platform levelling have made the
power unit stop.
