View device data from Remote Manager
The nodes in your XBee network report data back to the gateway. This information appears on the
Data Services tab in Remote Manager.
1. From Remote Manager, go to Data Services > Data Files > Data Streams . If you completed the
steps in Set up XBee Industrial Gateway summary , several data streams are available. The
data streams of your XBee ZigBee will be similar to:

2. Type the device ID for your XBee Industrial Gateway in the data stream search box in the
upper-right side of the data stream view to locate the data streams for your XBee Industrial
Gateway. For example:

Industrial Gateway
The XBee Industrial Gateway Python application resides on XBee Industrial Gateway. Its key functions
include connecting your XBee modules to Remote Manager, enabling uploads of data to Remote
Manager, and receiving remote text and commands. The XBee Industrial Gateway Python application
is installed in your XBee Industrial Gateway device and automatically starts when the gateway
initializes. When you use the XBee Industrial Gateway Python application, device data for your XBee
network is captured in the form of events in one of the XBee Industrial Gateway log files,
python.log .
Events that may be of note include:

Serial or I/O data arriving from an XBee node on your RF network
n
An RCI command received from Remote Manager
n
Attempts to upload data to Data Streams in Remote Manager
n
Errors and warnings during execution for debugging and diagnostics
The python.log file may be accessed through the XBee Industrial Gateway web interface or from
Remote Manager.

Viewing the Python log file
To view the log file, choose one of the following options:

From Remote Manager, the system log is a file maintained in the file system of the device. To
retrieve it, use the File Management capabilities in Remote Manager. See the Digi Remote
Manager User Guide if you need help.
