7. TRANSPORTATION OF EQUIPMENT
Perform ISE Cleaning and, if necessary, clean and decontaminate all necessary surfaces of the
equipment.
Wear gloves in all cases.
Prevent damage to the power cord during transport or storage of the
equipment. In case of damage change it for a new one
7.1 Transport within the laboratory field
If the transport does not involve significant movements, it will be enough to verify that the
fastening screws of the Pack container base are well adjusted and carry out the transport
carefully, without tilting or hitting the equipment.
7.2 If the transport involves a more important transfer
But it is reinstalled at most the next day proceed as follows:
1. Disconnect the pipes of Std. A, Std. B, Lactic Acid (if present) and waste.
2. Disconnect the analyzer.
3. Close the bottles of the Pack tightly.
4. Do not tilt the equipment.
5. If it is necessary to pack it for transport, use the box in which the equipment was
delivered along with the parts that prevent bumps and movements. If such a box is not
available, use one of similar sizes and fill the sides of the equipment well.
6. Install by following the installation steps.
7.3 If the equipment is not to be installed in more than two days.
1. Perform an intensive rinse, if TCO2 option is present also perform a TCO2 rinse.
2. Disconnect the pipes of Std. A and Std. B. and Lactic Acid (if TCO2 option is installed)
3. Emptying pipes from the equipment.
a. In the valve menu, open valve A and in manual motion press CW until no more liquids
circulate through the waste pipe.
b. Repeat the operation by opening only valve B.
c. Repeat the operation by opening only the C valve. (if sampler option is installed)
d. Close all valves.
