Service menu

Automatic switch-
over function 

!

To facilitate operating procedures, all setup displays which require the enabling/disabling of a facility are
provided with the “automatic switch-over function”. This means that, after calling up the setup display, the
current setting is displayed, for example, as [on]. You can now press the STORE key 

A 

directly; the facility

is switched off if it was on and vice versa.

Summary

After calling up the required setup display by entering the code number, the following options are available: 

A

Press the STORE key.

This switches the current state to the

alternative state automatically.

Entry by browsing

This enables you to browse through to other

setup fields where you can carry out the
settings as described on the respective page.

Press the SERVICE key.

If you only wanted to check the settings you 

have made, you can abort the procedure
and leave the service menu.

Press DISCONNECT key. 

This allows you to go back one step

without quitting the service menu.

Programming 
code numbers

You can program the system so that almost any facility can be accessed via a free key. The operating
procedures after the key is pressed vary, depending on the facility and the key this is assigned to.

The individual steps that can be assigned to a key are printed on a grey background in the operating
sequences in this chapter.

- If procedures are stored which require no settings (e.g. call waiting), the function is carried out

immediately after the key is pressed.

- If you have assigned an entire facility that can be switched on and off to a key (cf. page D-6/

example 4), then you only need to press the key to toggle the setting of the facility from on to off or
vice versa.

- If only the first step of the procedure is stored, e.g.

 (delete call-back requests), all

ensuing steps have to be carried out manually after pressing the key. When doing so, you can also
utilize the ability to switch over automatically by means of the STORE key
