List of important information messages

When using your PABX telecommunications system you may see various messages in the displays which
indicate incorrect input or restricted operating functions. The following is a selection of these display texts
with an explanation of the possible causes for the message being displayed.

no free BCH 

(no B channel free): This message appears when no “lines” are currently free because they are

being used by other subscribers.

feature not supported:

 It is currently not possible to configure/program a particular facility since it is not a

standard feature of the respective system.

feature not released:

 A facility is currently blocked and must be released for use by the service department.

conn. imposs.

 (connection impossible): It was not possible to make a desired connection, e.g. because a

specific ISDN service or line is not available.

protocol error:

 You have made an invalid entry (e.g. pressed a call key not permitted for that purpose)

while programming a facility. Repeat or check your input.

incompatible request:

 This message is displayed if you have tried to activate a facility which is temporarily

rejected by the PABX system.
For example, you may have tried to activate a call diversion, but the destination telephone has currently acti-
vated call protection (do not disturb). To ascertain the possible reason for this message, refer to the descrip-
tions of the facilities.

inv. subs. no.

 (invalid subscriber number): The telephone number entered is not registered in the PABX

system, enter (dial) the correct number.

no entry possible:

 The display shows this message if you attempt to make entries that are not permitted.

FPK content invalid

 (freely programmable key content invalid): This message may be displayed when you

press a FUNCTION key, for example, if your PABX software has been updated. In this case delete the
function assigned to the key and re-program the key.

temp. error

 (temporary error): The display shows this message if a facility can not be activated because

other functions are already active.

not ready:

 This message is generated if a hardware module in your PABX or a telephone is not installed. In

such cases, repeat the attempt several times before calling the service department.
