Special types of call

Answering a 
paging call

You are addressed by a message over the loudspeaker. You can answer this in the following way:

Intercom message

If you have switched your telephone over to “Intercom message” mode, your telephone automatically
switched over to “Hands-free” when a message is received. You can now reply to the message immediately
using the microphone in your telephone.

Instructions on how to program the “Intercom message” facility are given on page C-48.

Message within 
a team 

If INTERNAL keys are switched to multiple access within a team, messages to the telephone number of one
member are also signalled to the other team members who have a corresponding MULTIPLE-INTERNAL key
or a TEAM key. The message is only given if the ring signal is activated for these keys (refer to “Picking up a
ring signal” or “Substitute/deputy configuration” on page C-27/C-28). 
Team members should not program the “Intercom message” facility on their telephones if they wish to use
team messages, since intercom mode can only be used on one particular telephone and it is then not clear
which telephone will answer.
