OBSERVED PROBLEM
Heater produces a whistling
noise when burner is lit
Glass soots
Fireplace produces a clicking/
ticking noise just after burners
are lit or shut off

REMEDY
1. Turn gas control knob to LO
position and let warm up for
a minute
2. Operate burner until air is
removed from line. Have
gas line checked by local
propane/LP or natural gas
company
3. Clean burner (see
Cleaning
and Maintenance
, page 31)
or replace burner orifice
1. Inspect the opening at the
base of the burner by re-
moving log/grate assembly
to see that it is NOT packed
with any type of material
