Addendums:
Landing Gear:
You may find after a number of cycles
that
landing gear begin to stick in the retracted position. This
may be caused by burrs forming on the lower portion of
the piston pin channel in the side frame where the chan-
nel transitions from locked position to extension. There is
a sharp bend in the channel at this point. The fix is to
slightly grind down the sharp point at transition on both
side frames. See photos.
Tail Group:
Watch the tail group closely. Inspect before
and after every flight. Look for separation of live hinges,
any play in control linkages or the rudder, and security of
horizontal and vertical stabs. Do not fly if any of these
conditions are found.
Sharp ridge on lower left of piston pin channel may cause gear to hang
in retracted position.
Ridge filed down to provide a smoother transition from locked position
