Tail hook retaining brackets and safety wire
Protect air lines from tail hook with heat shield braid or aluminum tape.
Securely affix to fuselage.
Speed Brake
Chamfer the front of the speed brake to a 45 degree
angle
Using V-poxy, glue the hinges to the front of the speed
brake as shown in the photo. Use a scrap piece of
wood to raise the level of the hinges until dry. You
may need to swap the position of one of the hinge
screws to allow the hinges to be set adjacent to each
other.
Glue the hinges to the speed brake. Use a scrap piece of wood to sup-
port the hinges while they dry.
Leak check the remaining pair of 20 mm throw cylin-
ders.
If you will mount with a #2 button screw, drill the ends
with a #46 bit.
