While the grid falls below threshold of input power loss, the DC link voltage can be
stabilized by regenerating power from motor side. If grid voltage recovers in duration
time of low voltage ride through, DC link voltage is above DC voltage lower limit of low
voltage ride through, and motor speed is above speed lower limit of low voltage ride
through, torque current will be increased and drive speed will return to its previous value.

If ride through control is chosen, there is large excitation inrush current in the input side
when grid voltage recovers. The power supply must have sufficient capacity to provide
such huge instantaneous current. So VFD will not equip with startup cabinet when ride
through control is chosen. When ride through control is disable, once loss of power is
detected, startup cabinet will trip if the startup cabinet is available.

When a fault appears, MVD stop output and alarm, as shown in Fig. 4-8. The fault is
reset a
utomatically after fault disappears and a delay period defined by P1353 “Reset
waiting time of automatic restart”. When the fault is reset, the trial time starts to count,
and drive is started automatically by flying start.
