1. Turn off the system, including any attached peripherals, and disconnect the system from the electrical outlet.
2. Remove the cover (see "

").
3. Remove all expansion cards installed in the system (see "
Removing an Expansion Card
" in "Installing System Options").
4. Let the system dry thoroughly for at least 24 hours.
5. Replace the cover (see "
Replacing the Cover
").
6. Reconnect your system and peripherals to their electrical outlets, and turn on the system.
If the system does not start up properly, see "

," for instructions on obtaining technical assistance.
7. If the system starts up normally, shut down the system and reinstall all expansion cards you removed in step 3 (see
"
Installing an Expansion Card
" in "Installing System Options").
8. Run the system board tests in system diagnostics to confirm that the system is working properly.
