Replace the system cover. See "Closing the System" on page 58.

Place the system upright on a flat, stable surface.

Reattach any peripherals and connect the system to an electrical outlet.

Turn on the system and attached peripherals.

Enter the System Setup program and ensure that the hard drive’s
controller is enabled. See"Entering the System Setup Program" on page 36.

Exit the System Setup program and reboot the system.

Partition and logically format the drive.
See the documentation that came with the drive for instructions on
installing any software required for drive operation.
Removing a Hard Drive from a Hard-Drive Bracket
Detach the hard-drive bracket from the hard drive by pushing out at the
edges of the bracket and removing the hard drive. See Figure 3-11.
