Installing a GPU blank
You can install the GPU blank only in configuration D. To install GPU 2, install the GPU blank in GPU
slot 1.
Prerequisites
CAUTION: Many repairs may only be done by a certified service technician. You should only
perform troubleshooting and simple repairs as authorized in your product documentation, or as
directed by the online or telephone service and support team. Damage due to servicing that is
not authorized by Dell is not covered by your warranty. Read and follow the safety instructions
that are shipped with your product.
NOTE: This is a Field Replaceable Unit (FRU). Removal and installation procedures should be
performed only by Dell certified service technicians.
Follow the safety guidelines listed in the Safety instructions section.
Steps
1.
Lower the front of the GPU blank at an angle and slide it to engage the slots on the GPU blank with
the guide pins on the front inner wall of the chassis.
2.
Lower the back of the GPU blank to engage the guide holes on the GPU blank with the guide pins on
the chassis.
