1 10/25 GbE port (2) N/A Left port connects to the internal network, right port connects to the
external network. These two ports are located in the PCIe expansion
card slot 1.
2 Full-height PCIe expansion card
slot (3) N/A The BOSS controller card with two M.2 sticks is in the middle PCIe
slot (slot 2).
3 Half-height PCIe expansion card
slot N/A The PCIe expansion card slot (riser 2) connects one half-height PCIe
expansion card to the system. Location of the HBA300 SAS card that
connects to the two rear drives.
4 Rear handle N/A The rear handle can be used to physically install or remove the X400
capacity cube into or out of the rack.
5 Drive slot (2) N/A The two rear 3.5 inch rear drive slots contain 1 x 12 TB HDD (in drive
slot 12 on the left) and 1 x 1.92 TB SSD (in drive slot 13 on the right).
6 Power supply unit (2) N/A 2 x 1100W AC power supply units (PSUs)
7 10/25 GbE port (2) N/A Left port connects to the external network, right port connects to the
internal network. These two ports are located in the Network
Daughter Card.
8 USB port (2) Do not use the two USB ports on the X400 capacity cube.
9 VGA port Enables you to connect a display device to the system.
10 Serial port The serial port is not used in the X400 Appliance.
11 iDRAC9 dedicated port Enables you to remotely access iDRAC. For more information, see the
Integrated Dell Remote Access Controller 9 (iDRAC9) User’s Guide .
12 System identification button The System Identification (ID) button is available on the front and
back of the systems. Press the button to identify a system in a rack by
turning on the system ID button. You can also use the system ID
button to reset iDRAC and to access BIOS using the step through
mode.
