Box number The boxnumber consists of 2 digits. The first digit indicates the type of
connected module and the second digit indicates the sequence number of the
same types of modules. The box number helps you organize your relay cabinet.
Box Number = X X
Module type Sequence number 0 - 9
DM01 = 1
DM02 = 2
DM04 = 4
DM05 = 5
Example:
A DA-65 connected with 1x DM02, 1x DM05 and 3x DM01 will have box numbers 20, 50, 10,
11 and 12 to be programmed at the box number parameters at the respective axes.
By default, 8 modules can be connected to the control through the HSB link.
On the DA-65 and DA-69 it is possible to create two additional HSB links with option cards,
which makes it possible to connect a total of 24 modules to a control.
If more than ten modules of the same type are present in the system, the second digit of the box
number may also be an alphanumerical character. For example, for more than ten DM01
modules the box numbers are: 10..19, 1A, 1B, etc. The alpha-numerical input can be done in the
standard way.
DM-identifier Every module has been foreseen with a sticker, indicating the unique identifier.
When the cursor is placed on the identifier parameter it will therefore be
possible to list the identifier numbers of the connected modules.The number is
also known in the board computer of the module. The control communicates
via the high-speed bus with the connected modules.
NOTE
The CNC control and the connected modules must get their power supply at the same time for
correct communication and initializing. The modules within 1 second after switching on the
control.
