The <Endpoint VLAN (Untagged)> connection will be used where a small number of additional
cameras are added without utilising a NVSE System Extender, i.e. a 'dumb' switch. Note: this will
have reduced Cyber protection and it is strongly advised that it is not used for endpoints external
to the protected area (e.g. outside a building).
The rear panel of the Uniplex Appliance NVR has the following connections (left to right):
•
48 Volt DC Power Input Socket, for use with supplied mains power adaptor and UPS.
•
Terminal Block for the connection of volt-free relay contact outputs and auxiliary alarm
input.
•
25-way D-connector for the connection of alarm inputs.
•
Two 9-way D-connectors providing RS232/RS485 Serial ports for DEBUG and connection to
EPOS/EAC systems etc.
•
Two MicroSD card sockets

MASTER (lower)

Holds a MicroSD card with the Operating System of the NVR

use by NetVu Service Engineers only.

USER (upper)

A general purpose slot which can be used by the user for storage
etc.

HDMI port for the connection of a local monitor to view configuration menus
