Title NetVu Uniplex Appliance NVR Advanced Installation Manual
UK and EMEA: NetVu Ltd.
No 1 Thellow Heath Park, Northwich Road, Northwich, Cheshire. CW9 6JB
Hotspot Radius: Enter the radius of the hotspot. The figure entered is the number of pixels. For
example, if 20 is entered then the hotspot will be 40 pixels across. The bigger the number of pixels
the larger the hotspot will be.
Increment by: If using the Decrement (Red) or Increment (Green) buttons, enter the size (in pixels)
that the hotspot will increase/decrease.
Decrement (Red): Select to reduce size of hotspot.
Increment (Green): Select to increase size of hotspot.
Hotspot X coord: Use to position the centre of the hotspot along the X axis e.g. entering 20 would
place the hotspot centre 20% of the total map width from the left edge of the map.
Hotspot Y coord: Use to position the centre of the hotspot along the Y axis e.g. entering 20 would
place the hotspot centre 20% of the total map height from the bottom edge of the map.
Hotspot Origin (deg): The absolute positioning point will depend on the data entered here. A setting
of ‘0’ would result in the camera facing its Original (base) position. To change the preset position,
enter a number between 1 and 360. A setting of 20 would set the preset position to 20 degrees to
the right of its ‘origin’ position, 180 would send it to face in the opposite direction (of its base
position).
You can also move the hotspots around after you have created them, using your mouse.
To select a hotspot, click on it with your mouse pointer, or select it from the Camera Select drop-
down list. The hotspot will change colour from black to red, showing that it has been selected. If
you then click with your mouse pointer on a different position on the map the hotspot will then
move to that location.
When you have finished adding or editing the map and hotspots don’t forget to click on the “Save”
button to save your work.
Camera Arrows Page
This page allows arrows to be overlaid on live camera images when viewing cameras using
Enterprise Observer software.
In the video window of the Enterprise Observer the “Display Map Arrows” option can be enabled
by right-clicking in the Enterprise Observer Video Window.
Once this is done any camera arrows programmed the NVR for the camera being viewed in will be
transparently overlaid on the live image. Hovering the mouse pointer over an arrow will cause it to
be brightly displayed. Clicking on an arrow will change the live view displayed to the image of an
adjacent camera, which has been associated with that arrow using this page.
This provides another simple way of selecting camera images for viewing, particularly on a site
with a large number of cameras and where one does not know the locations of nearby cameras.
