Setting Boot Flags (boot_osflags)

Boot Flag Settings

Possible boot flags settings and their meanings for OpenVMS
AXP systems are:

Flag Setting

Bit Number

Meaning

Bootstrap conversationally (enables
you to modify SYSGEN parameters
in SYSBOOT).

Map XDELTA to running system.

Stop at initial system breakpoint.

Perform diagnostic bootstrap.

Stop at the bootstrap breakpoints.

Omit header from secondary
bootstrap image.

Prompt for the name of the
secondary bootstrap file.

100

Halt before secondary bootstrap.

10000

Display debug messages during
booting.

20000

Display user messages during
booting.
