Operating the TZ30 Tape Drive

Remove
Tapes Before
Power-Down

Caution

Remove tape cartridges from the TZ30 before turning off
power to the drive or the system. Failure to do so can
damage the cartridge and tape drive.

Removing a
Tape from the
TZ30

To remove a tape from the TZ30 drive (Figure 5–13):

Press the Unload button

The yellow light flashes while the tape rewinds. Wait for the
tape to rewind fully: The beeper will sound twice and the
green light will come on.

Move the cartridge lever to the unlock position

The cartridge ejects.

Remove the tape from the drive
