init

Synopsis

Initialize the system.

init

Description

Initializes the system. The system performs a software reset and
executes the power-up self-tests.

Entering the

init

command is nearly equivalent to pressing

the Reset button. The difference is that part of memory is not
retested when you enter the

init

command.

Examples

In the following example, the system is initialized.
