Synopsis
Set or modify the value of an environment variable.
set [-default] envar val
Description
Sets or modifies the value of an environment variable.
Environment variables are used to pass configuration
information between the console and the operating system.
Parameters

The environment variable to be assigned a
new value. Refer to the list of commonly
used environment variables below.
val
The value that is assigned to the
environment variable. Either a numeric
value or an ASCII string.

Restores an environment variable to its

auto_action
Sets the console action following an error,
halt, or power-up, to halt, boot, or restart.
The default setting is halt.
bootdef_dev
Sets the default device or device list from
which the system attempts to boot. For
systems that ship with Factory Installed
Software (FIS), the default device is preset
at the factory to the device that contains
FIS. For systems that do not ship with FIS,
the default setting is null.
