Fu Subsystem

Overview

DEC 4000 AXP systems implement Fu Profile B as the
I/O bus. Features of Fu include:

•

Industry open standard bus

•

32- or 64-bit, multiplexed address and data bus

•

Asynchronous protocol

•

Centralized arbitration

•

160 MB/s bandwidth, asymptotic/100 MB/s sustained

Six Fu modules can reside in the Fu portion of
the card cage. The slots are numbered 1–6, from right to left.
