Chapter 4
Web Browser Configuration
This Chapter describes how to configure the AVA-E via the LAN port using web forms.
Overview
The AVA-E is most commonly configured using forms displayed on a web browser. In this chapter, we
illustrate all entry forms, and describe their use. Familiarity with IP and related information is required
before you can configure any ethernet product. The workstation and AVA-E must have IP addresses on
the same LAN subnet. If they don't yet, connect via the USB port to configure the AVA-E to reside on the
subnet of your workstation.
All configuration screens are accessed from the main index screen shown below. They are divided into
sections with only one layer of screens below the top level.
Main Screen
From this index, click on a menu keyword to open the appropriate screen. In this manual, screens are
discussed in the order shown on the index screen.
Note that there is no menu selection for the
SYNC NETWORK
port: Configuration with the web forms
assumes that the
LAN
port will be used for transporting data to another AVA-E. If the
SYNC NETWORK
port will be used instead, configuration must be done using one of the serial terminal methods described
earlier.
