3. Gently slide the inner tool over the MC68030
processor, beginning at the rear of the CPU.
Be sure that the teeth of the inner tool are
between the CPU and the socket and NOT
between the socket and the motherboard.

4. While gently pressing its sides inward, slow­
ly slide the tool until the teeth of the tool are
firmly seated under the lip of the CPU.
