If you experience the following:
The Mac plays a failure tone or will not boot
with the Turbo 040 installed,
or
Virtually every application crashes the
machine.
Try:
Disabling the Control Panels and
Extensions. (If you are running
System
7,
sim ply hold dow n the Shift key at boot-up.
If you are running
System
6, boot from a
bootable floppy disk and drag all third
party CDEVs and Extensions out of the
System Folder and reboot.) Open the Quad
Control file from your normal boot drive
and disable Full Speed M em ory Locking
(see page 111).
